Participation and Fees

To make the process as simple as possible, SaMED recognizes two types of participants – presenting and non-presenting.

Presenting/active participants

If you want to present your research at SaMED, you need to apply as an active participant. After the deadline for abstract submission, abstracts will be reviewed by the organising committee with the help of experienced researchers and professors who make up the scientific work. You can apply to present your work in either oral or poster presentation.

According to the quality of the abstract and the research conducted, abstracts will be accepted or rejected. You’ll be informed about the results of the abstract selection by the 15th of January 2017. There will be no correspondence about the selection procedure.

If your abstract is not selected, you will get feedback and you can of course participate as a non-presenting participant!

Non-presenting/Passive participants

Participate in all congress happenings and expand your knowledge by listening to presenting students, by attending lectures from esteemed professors about groundbreaking research and by actively joining the workshops. Get to know other students during our social events and enjoy the time with your colleagues after the congress.

We are trying to make the congress as an ideal ratio of scientific and social activities. This is what makes SaMED an enjoyable experience for all participants, presenting and non-presenting!

Registration for students of Faculty of Medicine, University of Sarajevo

Students who are studying at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sarajevo can register at a discounted fee. As ASMF and BoHeMSA encourage students research and activites, students from the hosting Faculty can register at following rates:

Payment info

Payments can be made on-site at the registration desk with cash, or via bank transfer. Currently, we are exploring the options for payments with debit and credit cards or with services such as Paypal.

  • Please ensure that the name of the meeting and of the participant are stated on the bank transfer.
  • Bank charges are the responsibility of the participant and should be paid at source in addition to the registration fees.
  • Registration will only be valid upon receipt of the full payment by the registration department according to the deadline indicated. 
  • Outstanding payments will be collected on-site and charged the on-site (late fee) rate.
  • A copy of the bank transfer (or other proof of payment) will be required in the event that registration fees were not credited to the meeting account on time.
